What can you expect from Green Star Living? Green Star Community

Green Star Communities are not only designed to encourage a healthy and connected lifestyle for a diverse range of people but have a focus on good access to work and education opportunities, public transport or alternatives to car ownership and positive impacts on the environment. How do we know?

The Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA) independently reviews the design and then every five years we check on what is being developed to make sure that Green Star Communities continue to deliver on their promises.

In each state of Australia there are minimum requirements for the planning of new communities but we think that Australian’s deserve better than the minimum. That’s why we set higher standards and then work with developers who are prepared to go the extra mile.

You can rest assured that if you are living in a Greeen Star Community, you are living in a place that goes above and beyond standard requirements. Expect Green Star Living!

What to expect from Green Star Living:

Lifestyle:

Green Star Communities have been planned with all age groups in mind, from the young purchaser buying a first home to families and the retiree, thus featuring a diverse range of residents. Those living in the community generally have increased opportunities for work and education, plus transport options nearby.

Healthy living:

Many Green Star Communities have a community exercise program or initiatives like bike or walking paths, encouraging an active lifestyle. Others provide access to fresh produce onsite via community gardens, shops or markets. Plus there are added mental health benefits due to the connected community lifestyle that is encouraged.

Good for the environment:

Another benefit of living in a Green Star Community is that sustainability is a key consideration. Maintaining or reinstating the natural environment, creating places for wildlife or lineal parks as well as thinking about energy efficiency solutions, renewable energy sources and water and waste smart approaches make them a future focused place to call home.

Stamp of Quality:

The GS rating is independently checked by the GBCA – it is much more than a claim made by a developer. Every 5 years the GBCA will check again to make sure that your master-planned community is still delivering what it said it would.

Green Star is the stamp of quality that separates your community from other communities. Expect Green Star Living!
